CC102 Day 4: Alcohol Inks
I've owned the Earth Tones palette of Ranger Alcohol Inks for several years now and until CC101 had used them maybe less than a half dozen times. Now thats all about to change! What I've gain most from to todays class is the confidence to experiment with these little gems and just use them in general.
This is a terrible picture and because the tag is angled away from the camera it really doesn't show the light to dark effect from top to bottom.
This is the Monoprint" technique and I found it a bit of a struggle to master. I have not been very good at the marbling with all things distress so because this technique was very similar I had a few of the same problems as I have had earlier but I still really like the effect
Now this one is my absolute favorite. I love this technique and you've absolutely out done your self with this one Mr.Holtz. I cannot believe the results are this dramatic. Day 4 and yet again I have a "new favorite" technique ;)

Because all my technique tags will be staying together as a reference for the class I haven't done too much to them, I hope to have a play in the next 24hrs to see what I can come up with from some of the things I've learnt so far however between tailing and having to go pick the kids up from holidays with Nana I'm not sure I'm going to get the time until after the weekend.

Thanks so much for checking out my work... see ya'll bright and early for class tomorrow :o)

These tags came out great. The faded layers one is gorgeous. I didn't do so well. The blending solution did etch the tag but I didn't get the same effects as you did. Will have to try this again.

Love all your tags. I, too, had problems with the monoprinting. But I'm sure with more practice I'll get results I like. Love your tag with the rays! Very bold. Thanks for sharing!
